Privacy policy

Simple Subs does not collect any data about you or your players. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no server of ours. The app has no way to send your information to us.

Everything you enter - teams, players, formations, matches and reports - is stored in files on your own device, inside the app's private storage, and is included in your device backup if you have one turned on. Deleting the app deletes all of it, apart from a copy in your own iCloud if you chose to keep one (below).

Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request, correct, export or delete from us. We hold no copy of your data.

Where information can leave your device - and only when you send it

Reports you share. When you tap Share on a report, the app hands a PDF to iOS and you choose where it goes. That is your action and your choice of destination; the app is not involved after that.
QR codes and links. Formations and tactical boards can be shared screen-to-screen by QR code, or by a link you send yourself. Rosters are deliberately screen-to-screen only, because a roster contains children's names and jersey numbers. A tactical board has nowhere to put a player's name, so a board you send carries none.
A copy in your own iCloud, if you turn it on. Settings -> Keep a copy in iCloud saves your teams, formations, matches and settings to your own iCloud account, so your other iPhone or iPad can take them. It is off unless you turn it on. Apple stores it for you; we cannot see it. You can delete it in the iOS Settings app, under your Apple Account -> iCloud.
Purchases. The one-time upgrade is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see your payment details, your Apple Account, or your name - only whether this device is entitled to the purchase.

Camera

The app asks for camera access only when you scan a QR code shared by another coach. Images are read to decode the QR code and are never stored or transmitted.

Children

Simple Subs is a tool for coaches, not a service for children. Player names and jersey numbers you type in are yours: they stay on your device, and in your own iCloud if you keep a copy there, and are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date.
